HD 1963-66 Stator/Generator
I have an old HD that my friend and I are fiddling with, but some parts are missing and my manual doesn't have the best pictures. He kept looking for the starter (which I have on an older 69D model), but I said there isn't one. The stator/generator is housed within the fan. Well, then he thought it might need a 6V battery. He is a much better mechanic than I am, but I don't think that's right either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know those older carts at all but here is a link to a manual that covers carts from 1963 - 1980:

It does indeed to appear that the starters are built into the case. Other guys know these older carts way better than me. I am sure they'll chime in due time. |
