![]() It is a 87 ezgo. well i have replaced all electrical in the hole golf cart. could it be the starter/gen?
![]() please help its getting old recharging the battery all the time. |

![]() Raise the rear wheels off the ground. Using a volt meter, read the amps at the battery at stand still (nothing on or running) and get another reading with the engine running. Is there an increase in amps while the cart engine is running?

![]() No - It will PROBABLY mean that your voltage regulator is bad. I can't tell until you provide the needed information requested above.

![]() Mike, I can't remember but isn't there a way to test the gen for output? Something about the field wire or something?
Also remove the battery cables from the battery and check for a closed circuit with an ohmeter to see if you have a draw on the battery while sitting. |
