Plum Quick motor upgrade with Lithium batteries?

I have a 48v, 100ah lithium battery installed on a 2013 Precedent with original controller and motor.

I am considering installing a Plum Quick motor.

Are there any other modifications necessary besides replacing the OEM motor with the Plum Quick?

Technically no, just replace the motor and it will work fine with the rest of your stock components.

I had a PQ bandit on a stock controller, but 18” tires. Most it would usually pull under hard acceleration or hill was around 125ish amps, and only for a couple seconds. It quickly drops and stabilizes around 70 amps at full speed.

That said, I’d recommend either a gps speedometer or an alltrax 300 amp controller. Not necessarily to gain any performance from the controller but to be able to limit RPM. My plum quick did close to 30mph on the 18” tires and it did not end well for the motor. With the alltrax you can limit that so it maxes out

I ended up replacing the PQ motor (Robbie said it was not salvageable) with an admiral motor and am happy with the performance of it. I keep it under 25mph to prevent that from happening again and the admiral pulls hills with a cart full of kids better than the bandit did too.

I use the cart to actually play golf and drive around the course looking for a few open holes to jump in. The course is very hilly, some would say mountainous.

My battery has a peak out output of 600 amps for 10 seconds with normal continuous discharge of 200 amps.

You would have to specify which Plum Quick Motor you're upgrading to. If it's a Bandit no changes need to be made. The Bandit is a reworked stock motor.
