Default surge prob

i have a g2 that when running full throttle it has a surge is there anything that would cause this or is it normal

My first suggestion....Take the primary clutch cap off (6 screws) and check the 3 weights. One could be broken or all could be loose. G2's also had a rev limiter in the ignitor, did you bypass your govenor? Good luck Dave

If the airbox is not all stock and sealed and put together perfect....it could cause that. Lack of fuel could also.

Normally a airbox that is not sealed correctly would cause a lack of power.

Yes. Had a G2 a couple weeks ago that would run poor over half throttle. Eventually it would go faster. Found some idiot kid drilled holes in the airbox. Plugged them most I could and it would bog then run wot, I guess someone might call that a surge? He will have to buy a new entire assembly, serves him right for letting kids mess with it I've told him over and over.
