![]() Did u run the throttle cable right to the carb? This axle gov has me confused. Guess because I can't figure out how it works. Thinking about removing the spring and hooking the cables together. Any thoughts?

![]() TXJole.
The backfire is usually caused by not enough back pressure (no tailpipe) or a exhaust leak. If you still want to be able to adjust top speed you could install our yamaha speed spring. Shouldn't need a choke on a 18. I know hard to believe. |

![]() Probably not a bog but more of a hesitation? Timing advance key cures it. And youy will also get better throttle response once she breaks in a little

![]() I have the key installed from u. I think I have the idle too low. I lowered it alittle, it just sounded alittle high when I first installed it. If you don't feather the throttle at take off it will die.

![]() May have to richen up idle mixture a little, See if a little run time cures it.
Grab hold of tail pipe with pliers close to muffler now grap pipe about four inches away with your other hand and twist it a little you will see one way tightens it one way loosens it. Should stay on fine. You can always put a hose clamp on it also. |
