Default Get new Controller Now or Later???

Just lifted 2005 TXT and my stock controller is shutting down every so often. I think it is protecting itself from me. I have been told it may or may not die, if I drive like "A Bat out of Hell" it may never die (all very technical terms at the local EZGO shop) Should I go ahead and switch out to Alltrax or similar now, or wait and see IF/When it dies? Can I Damage the motor by not changing? IS there a market for stock controllers that I can recoup some cost?

I keep telling myself I will not go to 48v, but...

I will not go to 48v, I will not go to 48v,
I will not go to 48v, I will not go to 48v,
I will not go to 48v, I will not go to 48v,
I will not go to 48v, I will not go to 48v,

Get an Alltrax, go to 48v, hang on.

Every time a stock PDS controller shuts down a little bit of damage is done to it. This damage is cumulative until it decides to fail.

the only thing you have to keep in the back of your mind is when you are on teh cart and it finally dies are you supposed to be there. It might put you down where you should not be.

Also if you go the alltrax route their controllers are 36/48V compatible. so get one and if you go 48V you are already set with controller.
