![]() I think I have an 89 Marathon. Not Sure. recently, it stated to go wide open when ever the accelerator is first depressed and when you throttle down, it stops till the cart slows down and then just surges when ever it needs speed. Suggestions?

![]() check the throttle cable adjustment - you want it set so that it is still closed when the pedal travels to the "click" of the start switch. If your butterfly is opening too soon, by the time the pedal travels enough to engage the starter switch the throttle is already open far past the idle or even low speed point
