Default G-9 running poorly

I am repairing a G-9 for a friend. It wont run hardly at all without the choke pulled. I cleaned the air cleaner looks pretty good. Cleaned carb. I pulled the line off the carb from the fuel pump and it doesn't seem to be pumping very much gas. About how much should be coming out lets say for a few seconds or so? I emptied the gas tank and removed the gas in tank filter. Looks real bad. I havent tried the fuel pump yet after removing the tank filter. That may solve the problem. If not any ideas?

I'm guessing a bunch of junk caught up in the fuel pump.

Check your fuel lines too, my old g9 and my current g16 had dirt and other debris in them, i went to an auto parts store and ended up buying new fuel line tubing and cut it the size of the old ones filled with stuff

Get rid of the tank fuel filter and install an inline fuel filter. Just one of the cheap plastic ones like goes on a small engine. Splice it in the line from the tank to the fuel pump.

I'd pull the fuel pump, take it apart and clean it as well. Just be careful with the rubber gasket when you separate it and lay everything out as you take it apart.

Be sure you go back with the exact same size fuel lines also. Also check the line going to the back of the engine. It's what drives the fuel pump.
