EZGO RXV 08' Extreme Jerking when pressing the gas pedal

I would try the encoder plug pins, or encoder first (this is the 4-pin plug, i have seen similar problems with both of these items). Did you find and read the troubleshooting guide. I dont see at all how your "pushed it around the garage" test leads you to the controller (and i guess you have not priced one either).

I chased the four pin connection back to the controller. That and the way my luck goes it'll probably be one of the most expensive parts to be replaced. So win I priced an oem replacement at $1100, I figured it to be that. I wasn't going to by anything that expensive without having it put on a machine first. We did put it on a machine today and it threw no codes or warnings. The dealer seems to think it's the speed sensor. And as my luck would have it, it's the motor with a built in encoder and not the drop in kind. He brought up the fact that he can't hear the contactor for the brake pedal drop out once it has been pushed. We are still digging though. A new motor from ez go is on at least a 3 week backorder.

The "built in" one can still easily be changed, but in that situation, the motor has to be removed so the sensor can be changed. This box is the parts, with the ezgo number in black marker. The temp sensor is the one that cant be changed.

Awesome thank you cgtech with all your help. I talked to the dealer and he still doesn't know for sure what the problem is. If this doesn't work then I'm gonna start replacing parts one at a time till I find out what the problem is.

The speed sensor was the issue. Fixed it then called the dealer who said that it can't be changed. Thanks for your help.
