Default RXV rear axle oil--how to install?

Can someone tell me how to add rear differential oil in an 2008 rxv?

I thought CG or HiTech once said something about pulling an axle and trying to install oil thru the axle tube?

Also I thing CG said he pours it thru the little fitting on top of the axle tube?

The oil is still original and I want to change it.

How do I know when it is enough oil, so I don't overfill it?

Does that little fitting open or screw off?

Advice please

I usually just fill through a axle hole, on axles not equipped with a fill hole cast in the housing. I do not fill through the vent hole (it would take forever to fill through that little hole, but it is just pressed in if you decide to try it). I think 660cc is the fill amount. And the oil Must contain "friction modifier for limited slip".

CG, so you pull an axle out, and somehow put the oil in the axle tube?

How do you get it in there? And you actually measure the amount, that's how you know the correct amount?

One more thing, give me a name of a brand of the correct oil you use, or are talking about?

Use a "suction gun" available at any auto parts store for about 10 to 15 bucks.

Basically a huge syringe with a tube on the end.

Jack up drivers side by placing jack under axle- pull axle - squirt oil.

Hi Tech, how much do I put it? Can you give me a name of the oil?

Ok, looked up the numbers, i was wrong. A few different fluids have been used by ezgo in the rxv (they are hesitant to admit it tho). The correct amount is 740cc or 25 oz. Of all the fluids they used, my pick is 75-90 gear oil (quietest operation). My pick for fluid (because it meets all requirements, already has friction modifier for Posi, and i always have it in stock) is actually a Yamaha product called "friction modified shaft drive gear lube". Its a 75-90 GL-5 with friction modifier (part number "ACC-SHAFT-LU-00"). I actually use my own concoction of Lucas oil stabilizer (roughly 50%), Yamalube (roughly 50%), and 2 additional oz of friction modifier (available at auto parts store) totalling 25oz. The reason for extra friction modifier, Some rxv posi units were a little noisy when cold, while turning, at low speeds (they will always find something for me to fix). The Lucas says its ok for Posi, but a little extra friction modifier for "insurance" has never caused me any trouble. You can go to the parts store and get 75-90 GL-5 and friction modifier. Just "yamalube" is fine for the lubrication and "posi" needs tho.

CG, so this is it :

I drain the old oil.
I then remove one axle ( does it matter which one? Is one easier than the other)?
Once axle is out, I somehow squirt, pour, push, 25 oz of this secret sauce in?

I assume it will somehow make its way down the horizontal tube, to eventually drop off into the differential?

Does that sound correct? Hi Tech said he has some kind of squirt gun he uses, do you use that also? Or are you big time and got the professional set up ?
Can you describe this squirt gun, so I can go to autozone and try to come off like I know what I am talking about?

This is on every qt of lucas, and most qts of gear lube. I found this crusty example in the corner of my shed. I add a rubber hose to it.

Real High tech stuff.

You can jack back end up-
Pull pan - use form-a-gasket and replace pan.

pull drain plug squirt oil in - ( use a little extra)
plug hole with thumb then quickly replace plug ....Not pretty but it works.

About $13.00.

Might take a suggestion from one of us back-woods redneck types?
