I removed the black plastic cover with the tow/run switch and took these pics. I don't see any connector to plug up any handheld device unless I missed it. And I didn't see a slot to input a key for freedom mode.

That you plug the programmer or unlock key into. Its in that mess of wires, 4 wires to the plug inside black wire loom.

I took some more pictures to get a closer look. Is this the plug that I am looking for to plug up the passkey or Curtis programmer to? And if so, where can you get one of those passkeys to unlock freedom mode?

You have found it!. It requires an adapter for the programmer (1314-4401). And that is also where the passkey goes (only once to unlock, it doesnt stay there). The passkey only comes from ezgo, i think anyone could order it from ezgo. Sorry if I seemed impatient I truly don't mean to be.

The Single use passkey part number is 629677. It's not shown on their website you have to phone a dealer and ask them to order it. Should be 100-150 Clams depending on where you get it.

I would call you local dealer and ask them what they would charge to update it. They usually buy the ones that will update 20 carts then charge whatever amount to update a single cart.
