Can i just jump the fuse and ground the battery to the frame? Seems like a pretty straightforward solution, no?

when I had this issue on a cart of my neighbors it was blowing when gas was being pressed which was a grounding issue with the starter/generator wire was vibrating and grounding out blowing the fuse .

as for bypassing it im not sure i know its frustrating if you bypass the fuse which is already happening when fuse blows and it still runs correct (which stumps me) then its already been done. part of me says keep running it and ignore fuse but the other part says keep looking to find solution before another $60 solenoid is needed

Yeah i hear ya, I mean i see the reason for a fuse obviously but when its just jumped the wires are gonna burn up. But if you can jump it, since it is a ground, cant i just add another outlet for the ground(the frame) by running a 6 or 4 gauge wire from the batt. to the frame. i would think that should work as that is how every other cart(or really any piece of equipment) is run. this stuff is just mind boggling. i cant stand when manufacturers do things like this. why not follow a tried and true practice, changing things like this just make everything harder to troubleshoot. Its almost like they want us to take it to a dealer lol, imagine that!!

And its not giving you issues anymore? Do you know if you have continuity from your neg battery terminal and your frame?

have you tried to change the starter generator? Like I said mine was doing all these things because my starter was shorted out. I think the ground issue is because there is a floating frame on the cart ( what the motor is mounted on) I'm no expert but I think I read something about that when I was messing with mine... trust me I was in the same boat about to push it out into the street and torch it lol

haha yeah its quite frustrating. I havent gotten into the SG yet. im still trying to figure out why i have a ground going through my frame. I understand that the engine is mounted on a "floating frame" so to speak but then if the SG is grounding through the housing, and consequently through the engine then it shouldnt be causing my frame to be grounded, only the "floating frame" should be grounded. Which it evidently is seeing as how the engine kill is grounded to the block already.

This problem also could be your VR shorting out, I also changed that on mine because after reading a bunch of forums the VR doing this is pretty common. This is the most confusing wiring system I have ever seen, but between the SG and VR its gotta be one of them in my opinion.

I don't have a 22, but I believe you can ground to frame on that model, because it has a different ignition. I believe you have dead short in the system somewhere. I would start unhooking different components and accessories on the car till you find the fuse not blowing anymore. But just disconnect one thing at a time, then test, so your able to identify the culprit!!

Been going through this process, ive unhooked VR and the stop relay, there isnt much more to unhook that arent essential to turn the engine over though. I think im gonna try grounding to the frame and see if thatll fix the issue. If not i think im going to have to try a new SG
