Re: 96 club car won't fire.
Let's back up here. Has the cart ran 100% before or is it something you came across that didn't run? If it has indeed run without issue before, what are the circumstances that led to a no spark situation? Stopped while driving? Went to use it and nothing?
If we have a good foundation to start off with we can help you solve the problem better |

It SOMETHING I ran a cross. And no it was not running. And it did not have a ignition. Since then I have bought a new carburetor and ignition

Re: 96 club car won't fire.
Ok so we know it hasn't been running in a while. My next move would be to go over every connection and ground point, and make sure everything is nice and tight. Also check for any broken or troublesome wires

Re: 96 club car won't fire.
I'm going to jump in here: Since the cart has not ever run (since before OP has owned it anyway) is it possible the wrong coil is on the cart? With the RPM limiter disconnected and the white/black ground lead unplugged the coil should be creating a spark all the time. It generates it's own power source and the only way to stop it from generating a spark is through the ground path - UNLESS it is an earlier coil that requires the external ignitor.

Re: 96 club car won't fire.
I do have another club card that I could take the coil off from that one and put it on that one to see if it the coil.

Re: 96 club car won't fire.
As was mentioned before there were changes in the middle of the 96 model year. Early 96 (& older) used a separate ignitor while late 96 and newer incorporated the ignitor into the ignition coil. Externally the coils look identical. What year is the other club car?
