Yamaha G14A Control Cable Routing
Hi All
I am just about finished rebuilding a G14A, unfortunately when I bought it the cart was pretty wrecked with lots of parts missing, the book I managed to get is very good but in the cable routing diagram it does not show where the control cables go at the rear of the carts, drivers side is easy bur passenger side is not, the gear cables and accelerator cables are also not shown in the book. My question is does anybody have a better cable route drawing than chapter 9 of the Yamaha book or even better if somebody has any pictures of the cable routing, any pictures of the engine bay of a G14A would be much appreciated so I can see if I have everything in the right place. I have also attached some pictures of the progress so far. Thanks in advance. Mark |

Re: Yamaha G14A Control Cable Routing
Wow Mark!! VERY nice work!!
The shifter cables go from the tranny, toward the passanger side of the car and gently swing up to the shifter!! I don't think I have a picture that shows them!! Most of us disconnect the govener, and run the long cable direct to the carb!! I routed mine along the drivers side!! You will have to straighten out that panhard bar!! I would like to see the front suspension!! Is it Jake's? |

Re: Yamaha G14A Control Cable Routing
I see it is a 96 by the rear end, so the suspension and brakes are G16 type if you need anything else. But by the look of your build you probably already know that.
