turns out I had a fuel issue. Fixed that. I also had a problem with the new coil I installed. Some of The 96 club carts came with a 97 engine. The coil I got was for a 96 engine. That is why it didn't work. All fixed now.

Cart that old you should have replaced the weights in the clutch as well. They wear out and stop moving properly, or get jammed and prevent the sheave from moving at all.
