our colors don't match the description you gave . our colors per post are as follows.
A1-green A2-white F1-blue F2-red So I checked continuity as you described and our findings are as follows F1 to F2 had continuity A1 to A2 did not, I found a 2009 schematic that matches the motor colors I described. Thanks for looking Dave |

You've got a motor issue. Take it apart and look at it and see if you can see the Issue. On the "A" terminals, it may just be a brush issue. You'll know when you take the end cap off of the motor. You'll smell the problem before you see it usually. If it's not repairable, replace it with a good aftermarket motor. I love the Admiral A2 for your application. Good boost in speed and great power.

I tested the motor one more time before I take the entire motor apart to access the rusty spline. I have continuity between F1 and F2. I am seeing 241ohms at A1 and A2. Is this motor good?

The Armature resistance on that motor should be around 0.012Ω
The Field resistance should be around 1.75Ω If Your reading is accurate, the Motor is bad. |
