Make sure the controller is set to 4-pole on the speed sensor magnet count. After you confirm, drive the car and monitor the motor RPM with the Alltrax software. It's possible you may have a bad speed sensor. If the RPM responds to the cart and gradually increases while increasing speed, it's working fine. If it ever shows a negative number or stays at zero, that may explain your issue. You can confirm by turning OFF the speed limit monitoring. Once you turn it off, save the settings to the controller and see how it performs. If it performs smoothly, replace the speed sensor on the motor and turn the speed monitoring back on.

Ok. Then disable the speed monitoring now and see if it'll run.

Flip tow switch to tow. Disconnect batteries. Disconnect all four wires from motor. Do a motor continuity test between A1 and A2. Do it again between F1 and F2. You should have continuity on both tests. Post results.

Did the cart run like it should for those 5 minutes?
If so, I would be looking for a loose connection.
Hot motor means it's not getting the current it should.
Under voltage fault tells me you are not getting correct power to controller.
I don't see how the program can change after running for 5 minutes.
But then again I don't know a whole lot about buggies.

I guess it ran fine but noticed after about 10min it was starting to stutter so stopped and motor was really hot.

Would a dead cell cause under voltage under load?

Make sure the ring connectors you crimped or soldered to the F1 and F2 wires are making good connection.

Clip your voltmeter leads across the Solenoid big posts and make sure the voltage drops to 0v when the motor is trying to run.

All you guys know more than I do but from reading the thread I would guess the studs on the motor got turned and things just are not right in the motor.
