So was the cart misrepresented by the dealer? If the engine isn't a 2016 like you were told, find out why.

Sadly, that's not a CC refurbished number... It's an original serial number!

PR = Precedent I2 Gas
09 = 2009
33 = week of production

IF... it was refurbed by CC, the serial number would have been changed, and start with a number, then a letter, then 4 numbers...
example: 9G1623-XXXXXX

9G = Reman Prec Golf Car
16 = 2016
23 = 23rd week of production

I'll guess that the engine wasn't rebuilt, and it's just a moded cart from that dealer.

$4K would be the max to spend depending on the accessories added.

Sorry to be the barer of difficult news....
To be clear the 10k price is after its been modified. Frame extension to make it a 6 seater (limo), custom seats, lift kit, 14” rims and tires, turn signals, lights, seatbelts, etc. And for the record I didn’t pay 10k but that is what I’ve seen as an average. That said I do think I paid too much for what I got considering the issues I’ve had with this thing. Hoping I can get my money back and look elsewhere.

Yes it was definitely misrepresented. Unfortunately I went against my gut with this guy and did the deal and found out later this guys reputation, first hand. 15 BBB complaints, a news report/investigation and a blog/webpage dedicated to calling this guy out on his slimy business practices. I’m embarrassed to say all this as I usually am very thorough on doing my homework on big purchases like this but my excitement and time crunch got the best of me and I allowed myself to be taken advantage of. The biggest disappointment is the fact that I purchased this cart as a gift for my wife (whole family really) for our 10 year anniversary and the fact it has not really been useable since we got it kind of ruined our plans for the weekend. I’m hoping this guy will just give me my money back so I can look elsewhere. If anybody has any input on what recourse I have should this situation get more ugly I’d appreciate it.

Anybody want to chime in here about the "Subaru" engines, the "New Kid on the Block" starting to be manufactured by Yamaha? *sorry I'll just back off now, LOL*

Unless he's done something nice, no owner wants to see his business on the news...

But he's already been there, so he probably doesn't care too much.

I bought a 1998 DS 2 weeks ago and was told be the guy I bought it from there was a newer engine installed in the cart. So I joined BGW to learn and hopefully contribute what I might learn. After reading this thread I learned that if I climbed under the rear of the cart and put my IPhone between the rear end and the motor I was able to take a photo of the sticker that has the info on it. Found out mine had A 2008 engine. Hope this might help.
