Default 2012 ezgo txt48 XCT500TXT48 install question

I'm installing a XCT500TXT48 in a 2012 txt48. I have just about everything where it belongs, but can't figure out for the life of me if this plug is just an extra now or if I'm missing something.

Looks like the old 4 pin plug for the old controller programmer connection. It's not used now.

Okay, I've been over wiring about 300 times. I keep getting either the "short circuit/output fault" or "pre charge failure fault" everytime I try hitting pedal. . Definitely hearing the solenoid clicking in f & r. Everything is definitely wired correct and no Knicks any any wires.
Build date on the controller is 1/18.. I am not supposed to have a diode on the small solenoid terminals correct? Also not supposed to have a pre charge resistor correct?
Like a genius, I also did originally hook up the regen diode backwards and had to order a new one..

Thanks again!

In forward gear I get "short circuit/output fault"
In reverse I get "pre charge failure fault"
I have checked over every inch of wiring again and again.

Check the motor connections if you swapped the motor wires for bigger gauge. When I first installed mine, I also got the short warning. Couldn’t figure out for the life of me what it was as all of the wiring was spot on. Then I realized that the A1 wire on the motor touched the F1 post when I tightened it up and the F1 top nut apparently poked a corner through the shrink wrap on the A1 cable end enough to cause the fault code. As soon as I moved it everything was fine. Here is also a perfect example as to the benefit of the Alltrax short protection feature....

Otherwise give Alltrax a call, their tech support over the phone is the best out there. No India call center, you get step by step diagnostic instructions right from the guys that design/build them. Well maybe not ‘build’ them. My neighbor was recently having some strange issues and they diagnosed his bad OBC in 30 seconds. As he was describing his problems (i.e. would randomly go into charger interlock with no charger plugged in) they were finishing his sentences.

You nailed it.. The wife did the motor connections.. I have a trip basically based around this cart coming up in a couple days. I was in panic mode. I can't thank you enough.

Your wife did the motor connections. So now you are blaming her?
