New MCOR same hesitation problem
New to this site. I have a 2014? Club Car Precedent 48vdc with almost new Trojan batts. Wife would frequently forget to turn off turn signal so I disconnected reverse buzzer and wired it to the turn signal relay. Can’t remember exactly if I had the low speed hesitation problem before or after changing the buzzer wiring but thought you should know it was done. Also I get a one second battery warning light cycle once hesitation starts even though the batteries read over 50vdc. Am I looking at a controller problem now that I eliminated the MCOR?

Re: New MCOR same hesitation problem
Wiring to the buzzer is not a good idea. Wire as intended. Even if the wife left the signal on for a full day or two, the voltage draw on the rear LED’s is minimal. Also the relay as intended is only on when the cart is in RUN mode.
I would wire as intended with the 48v relay in dash as intended wired with the blue, blue and white stripe, orange, and green and white stripe wires connected. |

Serial # JE1436-490506, bought cart used about 6 months ago batt pack new then. MCOR got from dealer where I bought the cart. Battery reads around 55vdc when starting then drops to around 35vdc when hesitation starts.

I would bet money you have a dead cell or weak cell in your pack somewhere.

That would also explain battery indicator coming on once dropping below ab 42v.

I will monitor each battery while driving cart to see if one of them drops low.

Re: New MCOR same hesitation problem
Okay took voltage readings on battery pack. The 2 middle batteries read just 6.85vdc. The 4 outside batteries read 9.25vdc each. Removed middle battery vents and found them completely DRY! Removed all 4 outside battery vents and found them in the same state.DRY! These are 6 month old Trojan batteries. I saw no evidence of them having boiled over so am kind of stumped. Can’t believe Iwas able to read over 55vdc yesterday.

Re: New MCOR same hesitation problem
Are they still under warranty? If so, don’t mention about being driven on dry cells because that will void warranty. Depending on how often you use cart, it’s always recommended to put water in batteries every 3 to 4 weeks.
