Default 48v Conversion checklist for Series TXT

So I think I've got everything I need to upgrade my 2000 Series TXT to 48v, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

These are currently installed:

2ga cables
HD FNR switch
Alltrax SR48500
HD Solenoid (MZJ400a)

Also in possession, or will be this week:

48v charger
2 additional Trojan T105 batteries
additional 2ga cables to attach battery 7 & 8 in bagwell

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago asking about battery options since my existing batteries are just over a year old and I can still count how many times the cart has been used (and I've been topping off the charge a couple of times a week while it sits), but I decided to just go ahead and get 2 brand new T105s to add to the pack.

Once I get hose hooked up, I assume I need to connect to the Alltrax controller and update a setting in there for 48v? Anything need to be changed in the charge port? The motor is still stock, but from what I've gathered over the past year that should be good? Am I missing anything else?

No controller update is needed. You should be good to go as described

Thanks Scotty! (And thanks for the parts I needed for the upgrade)

I assumed there was voltage setting in the Alltrax to go from 36v to 48v, but guess that means your initial setting when you shipped is the same for both!

Is your existing solenoid capable of 48v operation?

As far as I know... though I do have another one that specifically says 48v on it if it fails.

The MZJ400A is capable of 36/48 operation due to the 2 stage coil.
The default low voltage setting for the SR controller is 20v. There is no need for anybody to change this unless they wish their controller to save the pack from driver abuse like when a lithium pack is used. But wet cell batteries do not suffer irreversible damage as easily.
So you can but, don't need to make any adjustment. But - if it makes you feel better the low voltage 48v setting is usually 36-38v

I think I feel better knowing that you set it properly when it was shipped, and there's no need for me to go messing with anything =)

When I did mine 4+ years ago I left the Alltrax SPM (SR predecessor) settings as they were from carts unlimited (Scotty). Changed the batteries, resister, and SOC meter and good to go ever since. In fact I had never even hooked up a laptop 'till earlier this year just to say I did it. Changed nothing.
