Default Re: SOC Meter issues w/ Navitas Controller

The RXV motor limit is 12,000 RPM. The Navitas tops out at 8,000 RPM and 200 Amps per phase, less than the stock Curtis controller with 9,500 RPM Max and 235 Amps per phase.

(Not saying those rpm numbers aren't achievable, but I would take issue sending that out the door everyday). Got gears?
Finally got the chance to get out and test this again. With the on the fly controller at full speed setting and a different GPS speedo on my phone, was showing 35/36 MPH. On the Navitas app was showing in the 8800 +/- RPM range (print on that is small and was only willing to glance at it at that speed). Back now to safer speed setting on the OTF controller.

Still doesn't add up. Stock Rxv owners should not expect 36mph on street tires from a Navitas green controller upgrade.

You mentioned your RXV had 14" wheels, but didn't give tire height, which is one of the factors the determines motor RPM needed for a given cart speed.

If the motor was spinning at 8800RPM and the cart was doing about 35.5MPH, your tires are about 23" tall.

Here is a chart showing motor RPM per MPH for various tire heights for an RXV (16.99:1 gears).

Find tire height in left column and multiply cart speed by number in rightmost column to get motor RPM.
