Default Precedent keeps going into slow mode

I have a 2007 Precedent that keeps dropping into a "slow mode" where it will only go about 7-8 mph. It will also sometimes (when my foot is off of the accelerator) have the regen braking kick in extra hard and bring the cart all the way to to a stop.

Both of these behaviors are intermittent, though the slow mode has gotten more frequent. Sometimes fluttering the accelerator up and down will bring it back to normal.

I have replaced the batteries, speed sensor, and MCORs last year. I think I read somewhere that some of the MCORs are cheap and burn out fast? I'm wondering if that is the likely problem or if there could be something in the pedal assembly.

Thanks for any tips.

Was the MCOR made in China or the one made in Mexico with ITW Switches cast in the housing?

If you have an mcor4 it looks like this

If you have an mcor2 it looks like this

Sounds like you have a solenoid sticking.

Oh, mine is definitely a MCOR2, not the newer v4.

I have some surging too, when going uphill.

sounds like you have a MCOR problem and a speed sensor or solenoid sticking problem at the same time. Pump the pedal 20-30 times, if that helps the surging you have a MCOR problem to start with.

Are the newer MCOR 4's more reliable than the MCOR 2's?

Also, what are the symptoms of a sticky solenoid?

2 vs 4.. No better..No worse...If you have a Gen 1 pedal group (silver arms) you have to use an mcor2...If you have a Gen 2 pedal group (black arms) you can convert to a 4 for about the same price as a 2..

Can you hear the solenoid click every time you press the go pedal..
