Default 2001 Club car DS hop up

I just got a 2001 Club Car and it has a D&D 170-003-002 motor in it. This is my first cart so going to ask some dumb questions.
The controller is from GolfRama it is a G442R 48V 275 Amp with the 1204 Reverse input.
It has 1 year old Trojan 8 volt batt pack that tested perfect.
18" stock tires runs 19 MPH on the GPS speedo on the phone.
What is the best bang for the buck to get some more out of what I have?
Will this motor handle more volts?
Will the controller handle more Volts?
As far as the switch and relay thy look like thy have bin updated to the 400 amp stuff.
The cables I can redo no problem to #2
Are the China Curtis controllers on E-Bay any good?
Can I run 6 X12 volt batt at 72 volts with this motor?
Will the China Curtis 400 amp 72 volt controller hold up?
Will the programing be right if I order one and tell them the cart I have?
I see cheep chargers on E-Bay that will do 72 Volts with automatic shut off are thy any good?
OK that enough for starters....LOL
O I have bin a JLG certified lift mechanic for over 40 tears so have a little idea of what is what.
Thank for looking any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not the volts you need, it's the amps. If the cart is 48v, then work within that parameter, which is plenty. I don't know a whole lot about anything other than making mac and cheese, but a quick internet search tells me that the controller you have is 225amp and the motor you have is rated at 19mph (it does not specific conditions for that, but I assume stock tire size). Do you know your ultimate goal? Driving up and down hills with four people and a 6" lift will require lots of torque, while level driving with just you and a passenger will allow the high speed you want.

You need to get as many amps to the motor that it can safely handle, and the controller will be the first step. Ultimately an HD F/R switch, solenoid, cables and hotter motor will likely get you where you want to go. I don't think 19 on a series cart is a bad start.

That is what I found also 225 amp.
So what is this?
Not looking to lift the cart or carry more than 2 in it.
No back seat and no hills in Oak Hill.....LOL
Volts is king as far as "potential".
Amps is just a after thought.
This is the motor I have.

OK so I got it strait from the horses mouth at D&D engineering.
The 170-003-0002 motor will handle 60 Volts no problem and spin up to 6500RPM.
He said as long as you do not jack it up with tall tires and keep the weight down with no add ones to the cart it should be a VERY PEPPY RID.
He said you can run 72 Volts also but unless you are racing it why bother it will be killer fast with 60Volts.
SO time to build a HOT ROD CART.

Sounds fun! When you get started, document with pics in a Member's Rides thread...we'd all love to see your progress.

Have to rebuild the front end first this week.
Did the brakes last weekend.
Need new rear springs also it leans to the drivers side.
Want it ready to go faster be for I try the upgrades.
The local guy has the 1313 tool to get in to the new controller to set it up.
I think I will just add a 12Volt battery to the + end of the pack. This way I can use the 48 volt charger for the original pack and just charge the 12v batt separate.
Need to test it before I go whole hog on it.

OK after ogling this thing some more I will put 2 battery boxes on the back in the golf bag spots.
This way I can put either 2 x 6Volt battery or 2 x 12 volt battery's.
Can run 60 volt or 72 volt and can test both setups with the same controller.
