Re: Broken hearted
I came across the vet this afternoon and asked him how his batteries were doing. He said they are perfect.
I asked what brand batteries they were and he wasn't sure. He said he got them at O'Reilly's auto parts. He said he called many places and may have said Advance by mistake. Anyway, I raised his seat and saw they are Super Start batteries. I never heard of them. He paid 670.00 out the door for the pack with his 10% military discount from O'Reilly's. I got back home and did some research online. I believe what he has are GC110DT - GC2 deep cycle batteries based on the dual bolt and standard battery connections. So I guess feeling sorry for him was unwarranted. I learned a lesson here. Don't jump to conclusions! Now.... Are these batteries any good? I may be interested. |

Re: Broken hearted
The Super Start batteries from Oreilly are made by East Penn. Same as Duracell and Deka brands, as well as Napa batteries, Federated Auto Parts, and many others.
East Penn is one of the "Big Three" major manufacturers that makes that majority of Lead Acid batteries sold in the US. Decent batteries for the price. Should last him 5-6 years with proper care, longer depending on use and charging habits. |
