E-Z-Go gas MCI engine
My cart is lacking power but as soon as I pull the air intake tube off to the remote air filter the cart revs up and runs fine. Is this a sign of a clogged muffler?

Sounds like a sign you need to clean your carb to me before digging any further.
With intake on it should run good. The intake adds restriction to the air inflow. Usually if you disconnect the intake it runs way lean sometimes to the point it won’t run at all. By taking it off and running good I’d say you’re running really rich |
