Do you have to remove the engine to replace the drive clutch? 1998 Club Car Precedent. If so how hard is it? Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

Mine came right off on my DS with the engine in the cart. Kinda have to finagle the tool in between the spring and frame, but it went.

Ummmm... I didn't think they made Precedents before 2004,
But, it dosen't matter, it's the same clutch!

You'll need a clutch puller (the "tool" vzdude was talking about)

and why does it need to be replaced?

I need to take it off and check it I have a rattle when driving and it sounds like its coming from the primary clutch.
