new batteries but still no go
My '97 ezgo textron was put in an unheated shed for the winter, the batt eries froze (they were old anyway). Pushed the cart approzimately 100 ft. to heated garage, installed new batteries. When connecting main cables the ground cable coming out of the box with the switch sparked when connecting to ground terminal. No movement in foreward or reverse. New batteries were fully charged. Note, did not flip switch to tow/maintenance when pushing to garage, forgot. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: new batteries but still no go
You have a DCS cart, then? Did it run before putting up for winter? There is a reed switch in the charger harness, which you may have blown during the install "sparking"...

Re: new batteries but still no go
Yes it did. I drove it over. I pushed it back, forgot to flip the switch to tow, but with the batteries dead what difference. I just went out to mess with it. I had left the cables hooked. The batteries were down just a little. The ground cable from the controller still arcs when connecting or unconnecting. The reed switch you are referrings to, are you talking about the foreward and reverse switches or a different one. Also, are there no fuses anywhere? I don't see any. I removed the controller cover, it is clean in there. I've had this thing for a couple and years and never had a minutes trouble till now. Just can't believe it's not something simple like a reset switch or fuse. Just put new batteries in. Thanks!

Does the solenoid click when you try to go?

No clicks. Are there no fuses to protect these different components?
