Default rough riding cart

I've got an 89 Marathon that rides about as rough as a cob. It's got what I'm guessing is a homebrew 4 inch lift on it. As far as I can tell the shocks are stock with some homebrew extenstions on them. Any help on smoothing the ride out would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Contact your local Cadillac dealer. Lol just playing. Shocks are not for ride quality there job is to keep the wheel on the ground and stop wheel hop.

What PSI are your tires at?

Can you manually compress the suspension by bouncing on the cart?

Can you see the rear shackles moving when the suspension compresses?

atv tires at around 8-10 psi. I can get the suspension to give by "bouncing" it, but I don't know if it's compressing...it has some give in it. I'll have to look at the shackles to check if they're moving.

Try disconnecting your shocks and check for bounce. Make sure you can move the shocks up and down when they are disconnected. You could have a frozen shock.
