Yamaha G9 factory belt deflection
I just put a clone in my G9 and used a cvtec 006 clutch. I am running an factory belt for the G9. What kind of deflection should this have? I didn't have anything to base it off to start. I know on 4-wheelers with cvt setups I would set them up for 1" to 1 1/4" of deflection.

Re: Yamaha G9 factory belt deflection
That's measuring with a straight edge across the top of the pulleys. pushing down on the center of the belt.

That may be a hair tight, the consensus seems to be about 2". If it idles without creeping though, you should be good.
