Big ole Fuse??
I have a DCS 36v and I'm curious about a large fuse I sometimes see in pictures on the + side of the battery pack. However sometimes I do not see it. Do just certain type carts use it? If mine is supposed to have one, what size is it? I've done a quick search with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Re: Big ole Fuse??
Fuses typically come with aftermarket controllers that run higher amperage. If your cart is stock most likely it did not come with one. A fuse is never a bad idea IMO and can be added to any battery pack.

Re: Big ole Fuse??
Fuses for two different purposes may be attached to main positive patter pack terminal and are sometimes seen in under the seat pictures.
1. A 50A or 60A the white wire from the charging receptacle connect to. 2. A 250A or 400A or larger the high current cable to the solenoid connects to. Most chargers have a fused output, so you are fairly safe without it unless you've got kids around that like to stick metal objects in the charge receptacle. As for the fuse in the high current circuit, do what the aftermarket controller manufacturer recommends. |
