stretching 1997 ezgo dcs
I'm stretching 1997 ezgo dcs and want to move forward reverse controls to front pod. How do I "strech " the wiring. Also where can I buy parts like rocker panels and flooring for limo.
Thanks |

Re: stretching 1997 ezgo dcs
First, Welcome.
Is your DCS cart a stock controller. or aftermarket like the Alltrax? If it is a stock controller, I would highly recommend replacing it with an aftermarket Alltrax DCX controller. With the Alltrax you can "stretch" your controls by replacing the stockl FNR with a rocker switch style like a PDS uses. Sorry I am no help for the limo parts... But I'm sure you can google it. |

Looks like an EZGO Shuttle 6 should provide you parts that you would be looking for.

Thanks for the info. It is a stock controller.

Re: stretching 1997 ezgo dcs
DCS has a fatal flaw which is that there is no low voltage protection and the controllers burn out under load on low voltage..... an Alltrax control is a better choice.

Not too mention, that Alltrax will also give you a bunch more torque. With a limo that torque is going to help you get going a little quicker and will help on an incline.

Re: stretching 1997 ezgo dcs
I ended up simply using extra wire and butt connectors(one at a time) and that gave me the length to move forward/reverse controls to the new pod seat. Works great!

The DCS F&R is nothing more than 2 micro switches on a rotary cam. Good job.

These are pictures of the 97 dcs that I picked up for a project. It was a homemade stretch job. I will post the updates I make on the project.
