Default 2006 PDS txt EZGO Changed one battery now nothing will work

Good afternoon. I just changed a battery out of this cart because someone had an 8volt in this 36volt cart. Put the new 6volt battery in and when I hooked up the positive cable I got a big arc. This battery is the one that hooks directly to the solenoid. I have no click at the solenoid now and I have power going through the solenoid. I have no idea what changed or happened to make it arc like that.Anyone have any ideas of what to check for as far as the controller goes or the solenoid???

Was the Run/Tow switch on Tow ? If not, the controller may be toast..

If you haven't already, switch it to Tow then back to Run and see if you get anything. And you said you have power at the solenoid ?? Do you hear a click when you press the pedal ?

how long have you had the cart? is it a 48 volt cart? I am trying to figure out why you would have an 8 volt battery in there. Making it a 38volt cart.. or am i missing something here..

Is this based upon your years of experience ?

The solenoid has power going through it because the pre-charge resistor is feeding around the big solenoid posts.
Don't worry about the controller yet, they can take connecting up without a pre-charge time and again.

Give us the pack reading as she stands from the controller B- to the battery side of the Solenoid.

38.3 scotty this cart belongs to a plant nursery that my brother runs and I was just trying to help him out because he is slammed with work. No idea who put the 8 volt battery in this cart. It was running up until I changed the battery
