Default 2009 ez go pds

I got a 2009 ez go pds that was in a flood replaced solenoid and controller and it runs great except noise in the rear ,I drained it as it had water in it replaced with 90 weight gear oil still noisy any one know how to quiet it down some thanks

You may want to flush it out or even consider replace the bearings. If the flooded bearings were exposed to water, they may have pitted, or there could have been some grit introduced along with water. How much have you driven it before removing the water? Even the sealed bearings could have been compromised if they remained flooded for an extended period of time.

Might be a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. Did you remove the brake drums and inspect everything? Water/debris can rust the heck out of brake drums and shoes.

AND the oil you put in is way to heavy. believe it or not.....the rear eand is supposed to have 30wt. in it.

That's one of the oldest debates on this forum. I used 90 weight gear oil in my 1998, which probably had some wear and tear. I put about an ounce of STP oil treatment in it.

I run a mixture of gear oil and lucas oil in an entire fleet that is 8 years old and are used daily. Turf2's. NEVER had a failure.

Lucas is good, I use STP and 30wt oil.

I use 90% Lucas 80W-90 Gear Oil with 10% Lucas Oil Stabilizer.

Pretty sure you could use vegetable oil if you added enough Lucas oil....

someone suggested put a banana in the rear as banana juice is a good lubricate any one hear of this
