I already did. Thanks for your help. BTW, when I did a diagnostic code test, I get 4 beeps only. I think that means a freedom chip and no errors. Is that right?

Thought I had it fixed, but no such luck. Talking to a ezgo servicer, he said it could be motor brushes. Does anyone have an option? Not convinced it the controller. Also JohnnieB: How do you run the cart in diagnostic mode?

The text at the bottom of the label on the controller cover tells you how.

I got that part johnnieB but I thought you had talked about actually running the cart in the diagnostic mode and getting a beep error when it fails. Is that possible?

Just put the controller in diagnostic mode and drive cart as usual.
When/if it fails, it may beep an error code.

If it does, it provides a starting point for troubleshooting.

Let me understand correctly. I have put the switch in neutral position and rocked it back and forth 5 times. I get a 4 beep signal. Now I can put it in forward and drive away and when it quits I should get some beeps as a error message. Is this right?

JohnnieB I did the diagnostic test as described above. stopped the cart, moved switch from run to tow to run , key in off. moved F/R switch from neutral to rev 5 times. got the 4 beep signal for freedom chip. Then put cart in run forward and drove home. when I connected the charger, I got 3 beeps then 2 beeps with key on. Does this tell me anything? Thanks for all your help

3-2 is the code for a wielded solenoid, which means the controller thinks the solenoid contacts didn't open when they should have, but that is only while cart is being driven and it probably isn't a valid error when the charger is connected to the cart.
