Which voltage reducer
I need to purchase a 48V to 12V reducer to run my lights, horn and a corn feeder.
Which one would you recommend? I found this one on Amazon and it has great reviews but it seems too inexpensive. |

Re: Which voltage reducer
How many watts or amps are all your loads? If your headlights are 55 watts each, that's nearly 10 amps just for headlights. If you think $25 is expensive, you're in for sticker shock when you price a good 25 to 30 amp one, if you need that much.

Re: Which voltage reducer
Check out the site sponsors. I went with a aux battery instead of a voltage reducer. I bought a mobility scooter battery, 12v 35ah, and installed it. Only thing I have running now is a radio but should have plenty to run what ever I need.

Golf Kart King is a sight sponser but he is cheaper thru ebay. I got his 300 watt 30 amp max and no problems on my cart. I run amplifier for music, lights and a 12 volt charge port with no problems. Cost around $130 I believe but that was about 7 months ago.

Re: Which voltage reducer
those most likely won't do the job.....its too small, or at least at its limit. there are a lot of them out there that are 30amp. I got mine from Scottyb, its a lot sturdier converter. I also installed a fuse block to make it easy to connect all the loads.
