I had heard of people not having a pleasant buying experience from them so I bought it from them through eBay and paid via Paypal. That way if something does happen, eBay and PayPal have your back.

Definitely get a 6" vote from me. I had mine at 8" and I thought it looked better than the 6" with my tires - BUT climbing in/out becomes such a pain. 6" seems about perfect for my height and my tires. Get something you can adjust up or down so you can experiment what works best for you.
