Default Rocker panel trim removal

I know it sounds like a stupid question but. Anyone have any tricks to removing the rocker panel trim. When I tried to unscrew the screws there just spinning. I'm trying to remove the floor mat to check the ITS.

There's a nut on the bottom side you will have to hold.

You need to hold the nuts with a socket while turning the bolts.

These are small carriage bolts the fact that they spin lead me to believe they are rusted. Rusted enough that the nuts may not come off easily. IF the Philips head strips out use a small die - grinder to cut a slot in the bolt head to fit a large screw driver in it. I have seen them so bad you had to grind & cut em off.

ONLY reason I haven't added aftermarket rockers... could NEVER get my OEM's off!!

I had to use the ole SAWZALL..
I lubed the news one up good...
Also I had a hard time finding the EZGO screw with the big Phillips head and save the spacer...

I think they are gonna have to cut off. There rusted bad.

Whatever happens, replace them with stainless hardware.
