Default Clutch Removel

I have a 1991 club car and it needs a new crankcase gasket. I have taken part of the clutch off the shaft but I cant remove the part that that holds the starter belt. Any ideas of how? Thanks.

You need to use a clutch removal tool. It's a special bolt that threads into the crank and pops the clutch off.

I did it split the clutch in half. Took it off removed retaining ring removed next piece and the one wall of the drive belt housing and the groove the starter belt goes is all thats left. I can't figure out how to remove it.

You removed the outer half of the entire primary clutch/generator belt pulley. You need to buy the club car specific clutch puller to remove the whole thing. Look on ebay, they're about $30-35. The pic I'm posting is what you are looking at still mounted on your crank pulley, correct?

I also removed that piece. The next piece is my problem.

The part that is press-fit on the crankshaft requires the puller or you will ruin it trying to remove it.The only other way is to pump the retainer-bolt hole full of grease and reinstall the bolt,it will hydraulic it off, sometimes takes a few times adding grease and retightening to make it pop.Hope this helps.

Yeah, see that shaft sticking out isnt the crankshaft, its part of the clutch. The actual crankshaft is only a couple inches and is tapered.
