Re: Looking to buy a cart. Found this one any comments
That is the same cart I have though newer if it really is an 09(very possible). It is a factory 4 Pax cart meaning the rear seat, long roof, lights and such were on it when new. This cart is not an ex golf course cart with a rear seat conversion. From the factory it most likely had an upgraded curtis speed control (400amp) and a slightly hotter motor. 2.5 hp 3300rpm vs the stock 2hp 2800 rpm. This is a series cart not a sepex. Sepex is PDS in EZGO speak. It was originally a 36v cart and would do 17mph. This cart has been converted to 48v with two 6v batteries added in the bag well. Note they don't match the others. Adding a higher amp speed control will not add speed in a series cart but it will add torque so you can take advantage of bigger gears and or custom built motors. I don't see how 40mph is possible in this cart even with a wild motor and really tall gears and I'm even skeptical of 30mph. My cart does 22mph with a high speed motor and 48v.

I don't like that battery compartment at all. They did a crap job of putting 2 more 6 volts. And there are 3 different brands of batteries in the cart which didn't look like they were maintained very well. Heck, even the fill caps on that on Trojan are incorrect. It should be 3 seperate white ones, not the 1 piece twist off.

check the serial well because that looks to have old style steering. txt's built before 2001.5 had that.
i cant see 40 mph being remotely possible but gps it and get the real numbers. |

Well probably won't even get a look. 3 hours off and foam in battery compartment is not my cup of tea. I had no photos when I started looking and started thread. BTW - Is there even 800 amp controller. Did not see one on search...

Re: Looking to buy a cart. Found this one any comments
get us a pic of the controller AND any numbers off of it.
and see if it still has the original motor......but 40 mph, nope......but depending on the motor it has (aftermarket)......and if the gears have been changed......its possible, but considering the look of the battery compartment, I don't think they put that much into it....other than upgrading to 48v. I mean, I'm still at 36v, and get 27 mph on flat ground, but I have a high speed motor in mine. and if I were to make the jump to 48v, it would only get me to about 35 mph. |
