97 Medalist with 295 Drive clutch stopped engaging

One minute driving around fine. Next minute get back in it and the engine revs no clutch engagement. It closes up till it touches the Belt and wont go any further.

With a push start it limped home, but i cant get it moving again. did a partial disassemble and everything looks ago.

Should i replace the whole thing? or is there a rebuild kit?

im considering getting a Vegas Kart engine later this year if that would impact your decision. i am not going to do a Engine replacement right now though.

So now im at a loss, i called the guy at Carts plus.

and he said it wasnt a clutch. Engine def runs. and IMHO which is worthless its a clutch problem because the drive clutch doesnt engage.

Took the belt off ran the engine. Engine runs like a champ.

im torn as to what to replace. Drive clutch or driven clutch. i really dont want to drop $400 on both of them.

Can someone drop me some ideas?
