Re: 2007 Club Car, New project.
Take the rear end out of the car. Take the passenger side tire off of the rear end. Take brake drum off. Flip brake drum around backwards and tighten lug nuts to where they are snug enough to hold the drum to the axle. Don't torque them down. With the aid of an assistant, lift the rear end up 3 - 4 feet into the air and drop the rear end onto a concrete floor onto the inverted brake drum. The drum is inverted so you don't damage the wheel studs during this process. The motor will fall off as soon as it hits the ground. If it doesn't, try it again. I've never had to drop one more than three times. Don't laugh. Try it and thank me later.

Jace, unless you just wanna get some good practice with pulling motors and transaxles, you don't wanna do that. I think Dawg meant that reply for another thread, it happens to all of us now and again.

Ok I just opened up thiis page for the first time today and read that and didn't know what to think. Thought I had really messed something up and didn't even touch the cart yesterday. But if I ever need to pull a motor, I got it.

Re: 2007 Club Car, New project.
Alright I'm getting ready to go buy my batteries. I had been set on a pack similar to the original (6) 8v pack. However after doing some research and thinking about how my cart will be used I am now leaning toward (6) 12v batteries. I am looking for more of a torque cart around our farm being used on dirt roads with the occasional trip to town. The farthest I can ever see my cart going in a day may be 12-15 miles. And that would be a rarity. I have read several posts where Andy, a big contributor has stated he loves his 72v cart and can go 30+ miles on a charge with all the torque in the world. That sounds like what im shooting for. I really don't want to have to put any batteries in the bag well, another reason I'm thinking about 12v batteries. Also I can't find anywhere on this forum where the topic of busbars have been discussed for connecting batteries, replacing traditional battery cables. I have read on other sites where the topic has been discussed with some testing and have found them to be able to carry a larger load than 0/0 gauge wire.Thoughts?

bus bars are not good on a cart , especially one that will be used off road around the farm .. even with battery tie downs your batteries will move and need the flexibility of cables

Good point. It's there a way I can lookup all my current equipment assuming it is all original?
