Curtis Cab or New Drive Belt
I have recently installed a steel Curtis Cab on my '97 DS and since just before doing this it seemed that the drive belt might be slipping just a bit, I went ahead and installed a new Club Car drive belt.
Now I'm finding that the cart is a bit sluggish, particularly when going uphill. Also the engine seems a bit "tight" - throttle response is slow even at start-up before the cart starts to move. So my question is, am I looking at a situation where the new belt needs some break in time or am I looking at sluggish uphill performance because of the additional weight - I'm guessing ~ 200 lbs or more without the doors - of the Curtis cab? Thanks. |

Re: Curtis Cab or New Drive Belt
I'll bet it's the cab.
