Need more range
I have a 36 volt PDS on 23in tires with stock controller and motor. Would adding another battery increase my range or am I just wasting time and money? Use really for hunting sandy roads not much mud. Turkey season is right around the corner. Thanks.

Re: Need more range
Going from six 6V batteries to seven 6V batteries will increase your range and going from 36V to 42V will increase your torque and speed, but it is more complicated than just adding another 6V battery. You will need to upgrade the controller, solenoid and battery charger also.
I'm not familiar with the hunting laws in Georgia. Do you use the cart just to get to and from your hunting location, or do you hunt from the cart? The 23" tires may also be a complication if you'll be traveling slowly for long distances and climbing hills as well as driving in sand or mud. It would be best to contact Scotty at Carts Unlimited and discuss what upgrades are needed to get the cart to do what you want it to do. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/contact-us-1.html |
