Default EZ Go 36 V TXT will not move or charge

I have a 2000 EZ Go TXT 36v that stopped moving. I was on it I heard a "puff" type noise a small amount of smoke came up from under the seat and it would not move. I am getting 37.3 v at the end of the line and 6.3 on each battery. The solenoid is clicking and the reverse buzzer is coming on, but the charger will not activate.

could this be a reed switch? Or does anyone have any other tests for me to do.

I replaced the FnR switch thinking that was the issue but it was not.

thanks

You can only hope it is the reed switch, an easy cheap fix

Thank you Scottyb I will give that a try. Would that prevent charging as well as going?

It looks like the reed switch has already been bypassed. I am not sure what else to test.

The charger will not kick on now. I have 6.1 v at each one and 37.1 at the end of the line.

any suggestions?
