Are There Any Battery Fillers That Stop at Correct Level?
I have always filled my golf cart batteries with a "bulb-type" filler. This works satisfactorily; but is slow.
Recently I purchased a 2 qt battery filler with a spring loaded nozzle; that opens when pressed down on the battery filler neck. This works OK; but it is not possible to see the level in the battery to shut it off. I was wondering if there are any similar fillers available; that shutoff when the water in the battery reaches the tip of the filler? Or, one that at least has a clear filler nozzle; so that the battery level can be observed? |

Yes. The spring loaded tip on the automotive (old school since cars don't have battery caps anymore) when you insert it in the opening and push will stop when the level gets to the proper point.

If there is one I never found it
I use an ice pick and any plastic water bottle. Poke a hole in the bottle cap and squeeze. Nothing but a small stream of water in the way of seeing the water level. |

I have several batteries with caps on them? I guess it depends on the brand battery you have?

I know what Scotty is talking about . I was referring to the guy that said automotive batteries don't have caps anymore to fill. I said I have several batteries with fillable caps in cars

This type of filler should shut off automatically. If yours doesn't shut off, then it is defective and you should go get another one. |

they work great on smooth roads, but get out on a bumpy dirt road and you'll find that your getting acid splashed out.
Use the squeeze bulb, turkey baster, or like Scotty does, fill about a 1/4 inch above the plates |
