Default Re: Field coil stud repair

Ok guys. Repair was simple. Tigged it with some brazing rod and the cart runs.

Now the next question. It was given to be without any micro switches and solenoid was excited by the ignition switch. So now I'm wondering about hooking up up the jumper cable from the solenoid to the #2 wiper contact. I know that we will need a micro switch on the wiper board wired N/C. So I'm wondering can I use the ingition switch to ground the solenoid and the mirco switch to excite the solenoid ?
