Check brake adjustment AND see if motor (parking/emergency) brake is dragging.

Checking both is FREE.

Seen MANY parking brake failures ( dragging ) they are HOT and stinky if they are draggy.

I have a 2016 (one of the first off the line after the ezgo Summer retooling) 2five. Got it early August 2015.

From the beginning I've had similar problems with the cart slowing.

The 2five is not like most other carts. It has 4 wheel hydraulic disc brakes.

In my case, the diagnosis I've gotten is that somehow break fluid is leaking into the master cylinder. Eventually, it builds up to the point where the break pedal gets very tight (no play). It's as if the brake is being pressed all the time.

This affects power, as the motor is essentially working against the brakes. You can smell it burning after a while. Obviously, not good for the batteries and not good for the brakes either.

I've had the master cylinder replaced, but the problem continues. Just today I had the fluid bled off but the underlying problem remains and I expect that after some amount of use, it will again begin to exhibit the same problem.

Once the cylinder is clear, it takes months for the problem to re-emerge, but I don't use mine too often.

Don't know if this is your problem, but it's worth considering.

And, if you do find a solution, I'd love to hear about it.
