I also would like to add that the "new" motor was not out of the box, a family member gave it to me. As far as he knew it was OK, but no way to really be sure without trying it.

Here is how to test a sepex motor.

BTW: Black to Black, Red to Red and White to Green is correct for the speed sensor wiring.
