Yes, just not at night. Many jurisdictions don’t care, but in Myrtle beach they will give you a ticket for driving after dark. Being an LSV means you can get a state issued tag and drive at night, And more than 4 miles from your home. Though I know people who get tickets for driving at night and even getting dui’s on golf carts, I haven’t seen anyone get a ticket for being more than 4 miles from home.
And of course you can’t drive on higher speed streets. I think anything over 40mph you can cross, but not drive on. Some people here have to buy LSV because many condo developments don’t allow golf carts. But state tagged LSVs are allowed.
